Don’t say that alone has absolutely no chance of causing issues, and what else is deeper in the code. The fact that the expansion could install to a different drive than the game if you were not watching is a huge issue, and I have THREE different directories on the same drive for one game. Now we know the game is bugged, and especially the update that went before the actual expansion (two downloads, remember) but the problem is that it seems to be all over the board and almost random in who gets the issues and who doesn’t. Whether that difference is for better or worse is another question, of course. There’s also new NVIDIA drivers out today, might make a difference. DO NOT use that app as even the support for that told people to shut it down and not to use it because it causes so many problems if it is running. You don’t have the shortcut, uninstall and reinstall via MS store and make sure you add the shortcut. Oh, as pointed out in the edit, are you also using the XBox Game Pass app to start the game? If so, close that garbage, use Task Manager to shut that app down completely, launch via start menu shortcut. How much is game and how much is conflict because of PC setup? So we eliminate factors, and the basic CPU/RAM/GFX card simply isn’t enough to do that and more info is needed for each and every individual setup because it’s obvious T10/PGG are not going to do it. I’m looking for possibles, to eliminate factors, because while FH has some seriously stupid flaws that should never have seen daylight, I’ve never encountered this crashing issue. You start adding some little things, bearing in mind you’re working with Windows, FH and it’s flaws, and what is a bespoke hardware setup compared to a standard desktop motherboard and chipset with standard NVidia or whatever GFX and you can easily have conflicts. Mobile GFX may have different coding paths compared to full size cards, memory allocation, etc. That’s why I ask these questions, to get that little bit more info, to at least try and see if there is something someone with a similar setup has done to solve the issue or if this update AND expansion is causing issues on systems with the likes of lower VRam as the graphics had quite the tweak and, obviously, use more resources. Different laptops CAN have different configurations, especially on the level of VRam (you noticed I asked that question, didn’t you?). Nobody is going to try and deny that the whole thing has been a cluster since release, it’s been a very smelly and messy one that even Mythbusters wouldn’t be able to polish, and they did prove that you could polish one. Close that thing off, ensure it’s not just minimised, uninstall and reinstall from MS Store, do NOT use the app at all. Assuming you installed the game with a shortcut in the start menu, launch the game from there, NOT from the XBox/Game Pass app. I’m just guessing, but maybe it’s a pointer for T10 to look at for issues because there are so many in this expansion, like no matter how many times I exit the game after leaving a house in the main map it ALWAYS has me in the expansion when I start the game, it is scandalous.ĮDIT TO ADD: How stupid of me. That’s before we start on hard disks and how full they are because I’m guessing you may only have one HDD or SSD installed. How much dedicated VRAM does it have or is that “shared” with the system RAM? It shouldn’t make a difference, even though the system ram will be slower than traditional GDDR, but how the memory gets addressed can make the difference leaving you with a combination out of Windows, FH5 processes AND graphics all trying to address the same memory blocks. Something that jumps at me there is you’re using a gaming laptop.
